Zigolo is made by Alessandro Toni; a passionate, independent wine producer in Magliano Sabina, just on the border of Lazio near Umbria. Having taken over the family business from his father, Alessandro very much focuses on the quality, rather than quantity, of his winemaking. His Merlot and Sangiovese grapes are hand-picked from South-facing vineyards and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then transferred to oak casks where it matures for one year. The final product is left to further refine in the bottles.
Ruby red colour, with intense cherry fruit on the nose and a spicy yet mellow finish. Robust and complex: a great food wine.
