Meet The Family

The production of the olive Oil is a strong Griscioli family tradition that has been passed down through the generations.

Margherita was the lady who started it all, at the end of the 19th Century. Her son, Sestilio , is shown here on his mule, collecting the olives in barrels for pressing. Maria , Sestilio’s daugher, is a passionate cook. She is dedicated to family life, and is married to Agostino , who is meticulous in caring for the olives plants and the lands. Paolo, Maria and Agostino’s son, is passionate about continuing the traditions that his family have preserved for so many years.

The spirit of the community

As a fundamental part of local culture and tradition, the olive tree brings the community together. The pride of the local producers in the area is felt most strongly at the time of the harvest, when people are united by the collection of the olives.
